Privacy Policy – Trivia Master
Last updated: May 2026
Introduction
Welcome to Trivia Master. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This policy explains transparently how the app handles your data, what we collect, how we use it, and your full rights as a user.
1. Information We Collect
We collect two categories of data:
Local usage data: Your level progress, scores, correct and incorrect answer counts — stored locally on your device only and never sent to any external server.
Advertising data: When ads are enabled, Google AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID to serve relevant ads.
Internet connection data: The app connects to question servers to refresh its database. No personal data is stored on these servers.
We do NOT collect: your name, email address, phone number, location, or any personally identifiable information.
2. How We Use Your Data
To save your game progress and current level between sessions.
To calculate your scores and best performance and display them on the results screen.
To serve relevant ads via Google AdMob to keep the app free.
To improve gameplay and ensure you never see the same question twice.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google may use your Advertising ID to show personalized ads based on your interests.
You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
To learn more about Google's privacy practices, visit: policies.google.com/privacy
AdMob ads are governed by Google's Privacy Policy independently of this policy.
4. Data Storage and Security
Progress data is saved locally inside a SQLite database on your device and is never transmitted to any external server.
We do not operate servers that store your personal data.
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local data associated with it.
Your data stays on your device — we cannot see it or access it.
5. Third-Party Services
The app connects to the following services to fetch trivia questions:
Open Trivia DB (opentdb.com): An open-source question database — no account required.
jService.io: Free Jeopardy questions — no account required.
Wikidata SPARQL: Public knowledge data from Wikipedia — free and open.
These are public, open services and are not linked to your identity in any way.
6. Children's Privacy
The app is designed for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.
The app does not require registration or account creation.
We do not collect personally identifiable information from any user regardless of age.
7. Your Rights
Right of access: You can review your local data at any time from within the app.
Right to deletion: Uninstall the app to immediately delete all your local data.
Right to object: You can disable personalized ads from your device settings at any time.
Right to inquire: Contact us at any time with any question related to your data.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material change will be announced via an app update or an in-app notice. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
Your continued use of the app after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
