Privacy Policy – Guess the Flag

Last updated: July 2026

Introduction

Welcome to Guess the Flag, an educational and entertaining app that tests your knowledge of the world's national flags. We take your privacy seriously, and this policy explains transparently how we handle your data.

1. Information the App Collects

1.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device Only

The app stores the following data locally on your own device only. This data is never sent to any external server:

- High score for each difficulty level (Easy, Medium, Hard)

- Total number of games played

- Number of correct answers and overall accuracy percentage

- The flags you have already seen during gameplay, so questions can be varied

- Your last selected difficulty level

- Your language preference (Arabic or English)

1.2 Data Collected by Third-Party Services

The app uses CAS.AI (Clever Ads Solutions) as an ad mediation platform, which may in turn work with multiple advertising networks (including Google AdMob and other partner networks) to display ads relevant to you.

a. CAS.AI (Clever Ads Solutions) and Partner Ad Networks

The app displays three types of ads through the CAS.AI platform:

- Banner ads

- Interstitial ads

- Rewarded ads (used to unlock hints)

CAS.AI and its partner ad networks (such as Google AdMob and others) may collect the following information for the purpose of displaying ads and measuring their performance:

- Advertising ID

- IP address

- Usage and ad interaction data

- Approximate geographic location (at the city or country level)

On first launch of the app (for users in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and certain other regions), a consent form may be shown, allowing you to control the extent to which ads shown to you are personalized, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent UK regulations.

b. Google Play (App Review)

The app uses the Google Play In-App Review feature to request your rating. This process is governed by Google Play's own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Information

Data stored locally is used exclusively to:

- Display your statistics and high scores within the app

- Improve your gameplay experience and remember your preferences

- Track which flags you've seen in order to vary the questions shown to you

We do not use your data for any commercial or marketing purpose of our own.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share any personal data with third parties.

The only exception is the data automatically collected by CAS.AI and its partner ad networks (including Google) and by Google Play, in accordance with their own respective policies, which is outside our direct control.

4. App Permissions

The app requests the following permissions:

- Internet: used only to load ads

- Network state: used to check connectivity before loading ads

The app does not request any permissions related to the camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, or any other sensitive data.

5. Children's Data Protection

This app is not intentionally directed at children under the age of 13. We declare to CAS.AI and its partner ad networks that the app's audience is not children. If we discover that a child under this age has used the app, we will take the necessary steps to delete any associated data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the app, please contact us.

6. Data Security

All data stored on your device is protected by the built-in security of the Android operating system and cannot be accessed by other apps.

7. Your Rights

You have the right, at any time, to:

- Delete all your data using the "Reset Statistics" option within the app

- Uninstall the app to permanently delete all locally stored data

- Turn off personalized ads from your device's Google settings, or through the privacy settings window shown by CAS.AI on first launch

- Re-open the ad consent window at any time through the app's settings (if available)

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when new features are added to the app or when our advertising service provider changes. The updated version will be posted on this page along with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
