Device Scanner Pro ("the App", "we", "us") provides on-device diagnostic tools: a metal/magnetic-field detector, a local network scanner, a battery health monitor, a device-information viewer, a Wi-Fi signal analyzer, and a compass. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, why, and how it is handled.

Information We Access

The App is designed to work entirely on your device. Specifically

Location permission: On Android, reading the connected Wi-Fi network's name (SSID), IP address, and related details requires the system-level location permission. We do not collect, store, or transmit your GPS location or location history. The permission is used solely to unlock these OS-protected Wi-Fi/network fields.

Network state / Wi-Fi state: used to detect your local IP range, gateway, and devices reachable on your own network for the Network Scan feature. All scanning happens locally on your network and results are not uploaded anywhere

Device sensors: the magnetometer (for the metal detector and compass) and battery status are read locally to display readings in the app. This data is not transmitted off your device

Device information: model, manufacturer, OS version, and similar technical details are displayed to you inside the app and are not sent to our servers

 Advertising

The App shows advertising served through the CAS.AI mediation platform, which may include multiple third-party ad networks. These networks may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), general device information, and approximate location (derived from IP address) to serve and measure ads, subject to your consent choices presented in the in-app consent form (GDPR/CCPA/UK-compliant, shown automatically where required by your region). You can review or withdraw ad-personalization consent at any time via the consent form or your device's ad settings

 Data We Do Not Collect

We do not require account creation or collect your name, email, or contact list

We do not store your Wi-Fi network name, IP address, or scan results on any server  everything is processed and displayed locally

We do not sell personal information

 Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data processed by our advertising partners, and the right to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Because the App itself does not retain personal data on our servers, most requests should be directed to the relevant ad network via the in-app consent tool, or to us using the contact details below and we will assist where applicable
